Construction of new Beach and Rock Groynes – Sandridge Beach, Port Melbourne, Victoria.

Works included:

  • Construction of 3 new rock groynes approximately 120 linear metres using 2-6 tonne rocks.
  • Construction of three new drainage lines through each of the rock groynes using reinforced concrete pipes ranging in size from 900 mm 1800 mm. Average length of each line 200 linear metre.
  • Re-establishment of surrounding landscape.
  • Reshaping and sand beach rehabilitation.
